Zanzibar has the prerequisites of an exotic island - sun, sand and exotic charm. Even the name holds a magical tone. As the last stronghold of the African slave trade and the main growing area for cloves, the island has a ruthless side and yet the other side is the fragrance of paradise. The ruling sultans of this magical Zanzibar spice island used their wealth to build grandiose palaces and bath houses.
Zanzibar is a beautiful island, dotted with amazing beaches and secret coves while the interior is green; covered with growing cloves and cinnamon tree plantations. Ruins of palaces, baths and ancient mosques are scattered throughout the island and are a reminder to a bygone era of Sultans and slavery. The whole coast is surrounded by coral gardens that are embedded in turquoise tropical waters.
Day 1
Arrival, meet and greet at the Airport, transfer to Ocean Paradise, the hotel is located in the north east of the island, (or similar hotel). Check inn for three nights in a double room, (Superior room) on half board basis, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
full relaxation, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
Morning, after breakfast, at 08:00, depart from hotel in a private vehicle for Jozani forest tour, discovery of tree species, mangroves, red colobus monkeys, and other animal species, free lunch at a restaurant. At 14:00 depart for spice tour discovery of spices, fruits, coconut climbing, and test some of Zanzibar fruits. Return to the hotel at 17:00, diner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4
After break fast at 10:00 transfer from Ocean Paradise to 236 Hurumzi, a luxury hotel in stone town. Check in for three nights (standard room) on bed and breakfast basis, Free lunch at a restaurant. At 14:00 guided stone town tour; stone town was declared as world heritage site by UNESCO. With our guide you will walk on the footsteps of Arab Sultans of Zanzibar. Discovery of the wonderful labyrinths of Zanzibar, visit of the historical sites, presentation of the Zanzibar doors, their roles and significance. Return to the hotel at 17:00.
Day 5
At 09:00 leave in our wooden engine boat for prison island tour, discovery of giant tortoise, ancient prison, and snorkelling around the island. Return to the hotel at 14:00, (dinner not included) and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6
full relaxation, (dinner not included) and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7
Transfer from 236 hurumzi at 07:00 to Karafuu Beach Resort. Karafuu is located in the South east of the Island. A stop at Kizimkazi Village for Dolphin trip. We take you in our wooden engine boat for swimming with the dolphins, snorkeling on return. Lunch direct from client in a restaurant. Depart from Kizimkazi at 14:00 for Karafuu Hotel. Check in for two nights at Karafuu Beach Resort (Garden room) on half board basis, Diner and overnight at Karafuu.
Day 8
Full relaxation, diner and overnight at Karafuu Hotel.
Day 9
Transfer from Karafuu Hotel to the Airport.
Accommodation at Zanzibar in a double room, on B.B basis.
